The Vice President – Operations is a strategic leader responsible for overseeing multi-unit garment manufacturing operations. This role drives operational excellence, cost efficiency, compliance, and innovation while aligning production with business growth and customer satisfaction.
Lead and manage all production units to ensure timely, cost-efficient, and high-quality output.
Drive interdepartmental collaboration across Production, Merchandising, Industrial Engineering, Quality, Technical, and Maintenance teams.
Implement Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and 5S to foster a continuous improvement culture.
Lead major initiatives such as factory expansions, automation, and digital transformation.
Optimize machine uptime, OEE, and line balancing for production efficiency.
Ensure alignment with safety, compliance, and sustainability standards.
Build and nurture high-performing teams through structured training, mentorship, and performance management.
Collaborate with HR for strategic workforce planning and compliance with labor regulations.
Drive adoption of digital tools to enable real-time visibility and data-driven decision-making.
Manage production P&L, ensuring profitability and budget adherence across facilities.
Monitor and enhance KPIs including PCD adherence, cut-to-ship ratio, and on-time delivery.
Collaborate with QA and Logistics for improved quality, cost efficiency, and turnaround.
Lead waste reduction and efficiency enhancement initiatives to deliver customer value.
Guide Operations and Factory Managers in achieving technical and financial KPIs.
Ensure consistent outgoing quality (OQL) with DHU maintained below 2.5% across categories.
Oversee compliance with global standards including CPSIA, A01, and GIA testing protocols.
Implement a unified quality management system across all manufacturing units.
Drive excellence in customer onboarding, product testing, and audit performance (target >95%).
Align operational strategies with broader business goals for sustainable growth.
Enable category and market expansion by preparing systems, capabilities, and capacity.
Support cross-border manufacturing and supplier evaluation for sourcing resilience.
Represent manufacturing in client reviews to build trust and foster long-term partnerships.
Bachelor degree
Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or equivalent preferred.
20+ years in garment manufacturing, with at least 5 years in senior leadership roles such as AVP or GM.
Expertise in SAP (Manufacturing, Finance, Quality).
Certifications or working knowledge in Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma (Green/Blue/Yellow Belt or higher).
Proficiency in digital manufacturing tools and Industry 4.0 practices.
In-depth understanding of QCO processes, Cut-Pack, lab testing, and factory floor operations.
