Job Summary:

A leading industrial adhesive tape manufacturing unit is seeking an experienced Production Manager – Converting to oversee and manage operations in the converting section. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in slitting, rewinding, logging, and related machinery, along with a proven ability to lead teams, optimize production processes, and ensure high-quality output.



Qualification :

Bachelor degree

Primary Responsibilities :

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise daily shop floor activities in the converting section

  • Coordinate effectively with sales, coating, quality, maintenance, stores, and other departments to ensure smooth production flow

  • Operate and oversee converting machinery such as slitters, rewinders, loggers, die punching machines, etc.

  • Monitor production processes and implement systems to enhance efficiency and consistency

  • Lead preventive and breakdown maintenance of all machinery in the converting area

  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and drive productivity improvements

  • Train, guide, and motivate machine operators and support staff

  • Implement and maintain 5S practices and ensure shop floor discipline

  • Maintain accurate records of production output, downtime, maintenance, and performance metrics


Required Skills & Experience:

  • 8–10 years of relevant experience in adhesive tape manufacturing and converting operations

  • In-depth knowledge of converting machinery (slitting, rewinding, logging, etc.)

  • Strong technical and troubleshooting skills in machine maintenance

  • Proficient in production systems, process control, and quality assurance methods

  • Effective communication and leadership skills to manage shop floor teams

  • Experience with lean manufacturing, 5S practices, or continuous improvement initiatives

  • Capability to analyze production gaps and implement process improvements
