Job Title: Head Chef – Italian Cuisine (Pizza Specialist)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Head Chef to lead a dynamic kitchen. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in artisanal Italian cuisine, particularly pizza. This role involves maintaining culinary excellence, managing kitchen operations, mentoring the team, and driving menu innovation. Key Responsibilities:
Culinary Excellence & Consistency
Supervise daily production of pizza dough, sauces, and toppings, ensuring strict adherence to quality standards.
Maintain consistency and excellence in all signature and popular dishes.
Operate pizza ovens with expertise to ensure consistent results.
Enhance existing recipes and design new, innovative, and seasonal menu items.
Kitchen Management
Oversee daily kitchen operations including ordering, inventory, and waste reduction.
Manage food costs to ensure profitability.
Enforce hygiene, safety, and compliance standards.
Develop staff schedules and streamline kitchen workflow for peak hours.
Leadership & Team Development
Lead, train, and motivate kitchen staff, fostering teamwork and discipline.
Conduct training on recipes, techniques, and quality expectations.
Collaborate with service teams to ensure smooth dining experiences.
Bachelor degree
Qualifications & Skills:
Minimum 5+ years of culinary experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role.
Hands-on experience in a high-volume setting specializing in pizza and Italian cuisine.
Mastery in dough preparation, fermentation, and high-temperature oven cooking.
Strong leadership, mentoring, and communication abilities.
Expertise in kitchen management (costing, inventory, compliance).
Culinary degree or certification preferred.
