Job Title: Electrical Technician – Manufacturing Facility

Location: Dammam, Saudi Arabia
Department: Maintenance
Qualifications:

  • Education: Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or related field.

  • Experience:

    • 2–5 years in an industrial/manufacturing setting, preferably with label printing and disposable product machinery.

    • Familiarity with high-speed machines, chillers, boilers, and air compressors.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Strong in troubleshooting AC/DC circuits, drive controls, and automation systems.

    • Proficient in reading electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic diagrams.

    • Knowledge of industrial safety devices and automation controls.

  • Additional Skills:

    • Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork abilities.

    • Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including weekends/nights.

    • OSHA certification (10/30) and/or PLC programming certification preferred

Primary Responsibilities :

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Equipment Maintenance & Repair

    • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on machinery such as flexo and rotogravure printing machines, thermoforming machines, and paper cup forming equipment.

    • Troubleshoot and repair electrical components including motors, drives, control panels, sensors, and wiring systems.

  2. Electrical System Management

    • Inspect and maintain plant-wide electrical infrastructure to ensure uninterrupted power to machines, utilities, and the facility.

    • Troubleshoot faults in power distribution panels, control systems, and automation setups.

  3. Automation & Control

    • Install and maintain automation systems (PLCs such as Siemens, Allen-Bradley, B&R) and HMIs.

    • Synchronize electrical systems with mechanical functions for optimal production efficiency.

    • Possess basic knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.

  4. Installation & Commissioning

    • Assist in installing and setting up electrical components of new machinery.

    • Commission equipment ensuring safety and functional compliance.

  5. Safety & Compliance

    • Follow and enforce safety protocols per OSHA, NEC, and local regulations.

    • Conduct safety audits and risk assessments for electrical systems and installations.

  6. Documentation & Reporting

    • Keep detailed logs of repairs, inspections, and maintenance tasks.

    • Update equipment manuals and wiring diagrams after modifications.

  7. Coordination & Support

    • Work with production, mechanical, and quality teams to minimize downtime during faults.

    • Provide real-time technical support during operational disruptions.
