Job Title: Deputy Manager – HR & Admin

Job Summary:

The Deputy Manager – HR & Admin will be responsible for managing core HR operations and administrative functions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance with applicable labour laws. This role demands leadership in talent acquisition, policy implementation, employee engagement, statutory compliance, and general administration.


Key Responsibilities:

Recruitment & Talent Acquisition (Primary Focus):

  • Lead end-to-end recruitment: manpower planning, sourcing, screening, interviews, and offer management.

  • Collaborate with department heads to develop workforce plans.

  • Utilize job portals, social media, referrals, agencies, and campus recruitment for talent sourcing.

  • Maintain and nurture a strong internal talent pipeline and candidate database.

  • Track recruitment metrics: time-to-hire, cost-per-hire, and source performance.

  • Drive employer branding to position the company as an employer of choice.

  • Maintain recruitment MIS and generate regular reports for management.

  • Ensure all recruitment practices comply with Indian labour laws.

HR Operations:

  • Maintain updated employee data in HRMS/HRIS.

  • Ensure proper documentation of employee records (address proof, PAN, Aadhaar, etc.).

  • Develop and implement HR policies in line with organizational goals and legal requirements.

  • Manage onboarding, induction, and joining formalities for new hires.

  • Monitor attendance and leave management systems.

  • Conduct exit interviews and ensure smooth clearance and documentation.

  • Assist in HR audits and statutory inspections.

  • Resolve payroll-related queries.

Performance Management & Capability Building:

  • Oversee implementation of KPI/OKR-based performance management systems.

  • Ensure timely completion of annual appraisals.

  • Design and conduct training programs for technical and managerial competencies.


Qualification :

Bachelor degree

Primary Responsibilities :

Employee Relations & Statutory Compliance:

  • Ensure adherence to labour laws including PF, ESI, Gratuity, POSH, and applicable Acts (Shops & Establishments, Factories).

  • Manage grievance redressal, disciplinary actions, and maintain positive industrial relations.

General Administration:

  • Oversee facilities including infrastructure, travel, housekeeping, safety, and security.

  • Manage vendor contracts and ensure smooth delivery of support services.

  • Track and control administrative budgets.

Culture, Engagement & Communication:

  • Drive engagement initiatives including wellness programs, recognition, and team-building activities.

  • Organize events for birthdays, festivals, and employee milestones.

  • Promote a positive, inclusive work environment aligned with company values.

HR Reporting & MIS:

  • Prepare monthly dashboards, headcount reports, attrition analysis, and other HR reports.

  • Support management with reports for strategic planning and reviews.


Key Skills & Competencies:

  • In-depth knowledge of Indian labour laws and HR compliance.

  • Strong strategic, execution, and team leadership skills.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution abilities.

  • Proficiency in MS Office, HRMS tools, and data-driven decision-making.

  • Experience in multi-location or factory-based HR operations is a plus.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Graduate degree with MBA/PGDM in HR from a reputed institute (preferred).

  • 7–10 years of progressive HR & Admin experience, including 2–3 years in a leadership role.

  • Prior experience in the manufacturing industry is an advantage.

  • Exposure to HR automation tools and digital HR transformation is essential.
